Hidden Path/Well Worn Oracle Card Readings

I have combined the Well Worn Path and the Hidden Path decks, as they are designed to be used together as an 80-card deck, although they can be used separately as well.  It's not mandatory to combine them, as they were created at different times, but many people do like to put the decks together.  The backs of the cards from each deck are identical.  I like the expanded insight with 80 cards versus just 40.  The backs of the cards are the same for each deck.  Card images from the Well Worn Path can be viewed below.

Readings with this deck system are designed for spiritual awareness, illumination, inner enlightenment, and the teachings of age old wisdom that you can use in your everyday life in this modern era.  This deck system, although Wiccan in nature, can be used by or for anyone.  You do not have to practice the Wiccan traditions to gain value from the lessons and teachings of these readings.  It was designed to have a Universal appeal -- something from which anyone can benefit.

The original idea of the creators of these decks was to publish an 80-card system to be known as the "Well Worn Path" divination deck.  Because the concept was rather unique at that time, the publisher wanted to introduce it as a forty-card deck as opposed to the original proposal of 80 cards.  The authors selected forty cards that depicted the foundational concepts of Paganism, Wicca, and Witchcraft.  With that said, I want to emphasize again that one does not have to practice Wiccan, Witchcraft or Paganism to use this deck system or have a reading with it.  I do not practice these crafts myself, but I do enjoy using the cards.  When reading with these decks, I do not go only by a "book meaning."  The cards are intended that one can look at the imagery and gain the main messages in that way.  Because I am also a professional Tarot card reader who has practiced that art for many years, the intuitive messages come to me clearly without "book definitions."  However, the books for these card sets are quite handy as reference guides for anyone -- including the experienced reader.  For those who do practice any of the above-mentioned crafts, this can be a very educational tool in their spiritual paths.

The Well Worn Path was therefore the first 40-card offering in this oracle system.  It was so well received that a decision was made to introduce the additional forty cards as the "Hidden Path" divination system.  This system was designed to serve as either a stand-alone deck of forty cards or one that can be blended with the "Well Worn Path" divination deck.  As mentioned, I have combined my decks.  The "Hidden Path" deck presents the forty mystical aspects, and is essentially an expansion deck, both spiritually and physically.  The title "Hidden Path" was chosen to reflect the idea of secret wisdom preserved by our ancestors and passed on to us as a spiritual lineage, as well as a connection to our world and beyond.  The philosophy or key here is to consider that no mystery remains hidden to an open mind.

The card backs from each deck are identical, featuring a wooden door as if to beckon the seeker to open the door of discovery and explore the mysteries within.  I think the tree itself, as a carving on the door, is equally fascinating -- perhaps representative of exploring the "roots" of a situation and defining things in a solid and usable context for one's life.  The card sets each come in a cardboard box of their own, an informative guidebook, and a black organdy back for the cards.  Both decks were very intriguing to me even though I do not follow the Wiccan or Pagan paths.  Divination is just one use for these decks.  They can be used as a tool for learning or teaching, for ritual work, or for spiritual development. The symbolism on the cards are inspiring, and it has been noted that the symbolism used is directly from the Wiccan and Pagan path.  As noted, I do not follow those paths, so I can't attest to that statement.  However, I still find the cards not only to be fascinating, but to represent a good, solid oracle that I enjoy working with.  And that's what counts the most -- to use and enjoy the oracles of your choosing.  This oracles system, in my view, is meant to be enjoyed while gaining value from its wisdom at the same time.

The cards are 2-3/4" by 4-1/2". They are very easy to shuffle, and the two decks blend together seamlessly if one wishes to combine them as I have done.
