I was quite fascinated with this set of cards which provides simple answers that you can expand on with your knowledge of your personal situation. Sometimes the answers given may not be what you really want to hear, and sometimes I've found that the cards might actually address another, more prominent, question you have in mind. So the cards will tell us what we need to know for our best interests. I've found this oracle's wisdom to be very useful. It's not at all complicated, but very down-to-earth in a "tell it like it is" presentation. As with any other oracle that you work with, it's important to forumlate a clear and precise question for the cards to address. The more clear and detailed your question is, the better the answer will be. When using these cards for yourself, you must also do you part in interpreting the answer. And this is true of any oracle, include Tarot cards. The Magic Mirror Cards give you the main message noted at the bottom of the card's image. From there, you can think about that answer and take this information and awareness to further depths when working with the cards on your own. As with any other oracle, one should refrain from consulting the cards repeatedly for the same question! This will only confuse you and will not render you any useful answers if you try to do this. The readings you do with these oracle cards will give you an opportunity to bring the answers of your subconscious mind down to your conscious level. You might not immediately see what the cards are trying to convey to you, and if that is the case, jot down the cards you have drawn and literally "sleep on it!" Give yourself some time to think about it and let it sink it, and then return to the cards at a later time at which it may have more meaning for you. So many people just "give up" with oracles or the Tarot because they don't feel they are "getting it" or they don't see how a particular card applies to them or what it's trying to reveal. Sometimes the answer is not what you want things to be, and so it's important to put aside your likes and dislikes to make the best use of what the cards are trying to give you.

The
author of these cards, Dirk Gillabel, once had an online version of this
oracle on his website, but that is no longer available. However, the hard
copy of the 83-card oracle deck is now available at the author's website
for purchase so that one can have them in hand and enjoy them as much as
they wish. The cards are laminated laser copies with lamination on
both sides of the cards. These are not heavy duty cards, but the
lamination protects them in their paper soft flexibility. They do
shuffle nicely and are small enough to easily handle at 2-1/4" x 3-7/8".
The cards come in a handmade silver pouch, and my copy of the oracle included
a cover card with a photo of the author attached to the pouch.
