The Saint Deck and Book

The accompanying book, "The Saint Deck Book" is an important part of this oracle system, and I highly recommend both the deck and the book! They can be purchased together as a set. This is one of the rare books on a metaphysical or spiritual topic that I actually enjoyed reading all the way through. The stories, personal experiences, and saint information that authors Karen Prioletti and Ann Trump share in the book are quite interesting! I enjoyed getting to the know the fifty saints that were chosen for this deck. The authors chose particular saints for the deck, but indicated that some of the Saints actually chose to be incorporated in the cards through messages and experiences that called out to the authors to include some of the saints they might not have originally added.
Fifty saints are explored in this deck and book set, bringing the gift of blessings and insight if one is willing to open his or her eyes and accept it. The energy of the saints can become like your personal guides, especially when you work with the cards and see how close to home the messages hit! I really enjoy these cards because their messages are so powerful and appropriate. The saints will not hold back on a problem issue if you need to be aware of it. They are going to come through loud and clear in the cards to bring you the advice and information you need to work with personally in your life. They can also be very uplifting and empowering as well. It's one of the best oracles of guidance I have seen and worked with, and I have worked with many!
This is not a Tarot deck, but there are some similarities to the Tarot in how this oracle works. In fact, the authors indicated that they had no intentions to incorporate majors or minors from traditional Tarot into the Saint Deck, but they felt the saints had other plans when 22 of the cards correlated to the 22 cards of the traditional major arcana themes in the Tarot. The cards can be used with traditional card reading layouts, or they can be used intuitively and for meditation purposes. Card reversals are not discussed in this oracle, but I have found that the cards can be shuffled to include reversals. In my own readings, a reversed card will often signify the more difficult side of the card drawn or may represent a block to allowing the more positive energy to come in. A reversed card generally emphasizes the importance to paying attention to that particular card in a reading.
If you've worked with Tarot cards and you also enjoy the idea of working with saints, this is a deck that you will not regret having in your collection.
Just like with Tarot cards, one can draw a card a day from the Saint Deck and receive a forecast along with the empowerment of that saint's energy to be with them through the day. The face of each card has the saint's name printed at the bottom with the feast day of the saint at the top. Keywords along the left and ride sides of the cards serve as prompts to help with interpretation. The accompanying 155-page book is invaluable for making the best use of the cards. The information contained within the book will help you better understand and connect with the saints in the deck. It discusses interpretation for each of the cards. For each individual saint, the book includes the patronage, the emblems associated with the saint, and gives the legends or stories associated with them. That information is followed by the interpretation of the authors. All of this is based on information the authors received upon connecting with these saints.I should mention that although these are Catholic saints from history, one does not have to be Catholic to work with these cards or to work with the saints. One just needs to be ready to trust the information they receive. For those who have had a religious upbringing that may make them shy away from Tarot or other oracle guidance, the Saint Deck offers a safe bridge for them to explore the spiritual and intuitive realms.
The saints bring us focus; they help us visualize our needs and our goals. They help us to clearly see what is most important in our lives at a given time. Following a particular religion is not required to access this higher source. The only requirement is to trust in the methods you choose, whether working with these cards or any other method you may choose to make a saintly connection.
The Saint Deck was truly a labor of love for Karen Prioletti and Ann Trump who worked on the deck for five years. They were inspired to help others learn how to experience the loving energy of the saints as they enjoy every day of their lives.
I have personally found the Saint Deck to be an accurate tool in my life to explore various situations. Although I have always connected so strongly and naturally to angels, it was a welcome surprise to also connect to the saints who have much to teach us.
